With regard to the expressed need for a service where jobs are advertised, the following information is from International Health Exchange which is such a service.
International Health Exchange (IHE)
IHE is a charity helping to recruit health professionals for organisations, such as Oxfam and Save the Children Fund, for their programmes in developing countries.
We do this by:
1. Publishing The Health Exchange magazine and its Job Supplement, both contain jobs and courses and are produced alternately each month.
2. Running an international register of health professionals interested in working in health development. Health workers may join the register when they are subscribing to the magazine.
3. We provide advice and information about working in health development.
I am afraid our web page is still at the design stage but we would eventually like to put the register on the web. Currently we are looking for two nutritionists to go to Sri Lanka and possibly North Korea with SCF.
