Media Reference: SCF/PD/DRC/EU
Based in Kinshasa with extensive travel to the East of the country. You will have overall responsibility for the management and strategic development of the country programme and for ensuring that SC UK contributes effectively to meeting the long and short term needs of children in accordance with SC UK's global programme strategy. This will include working alongside and in support of local NGO's and other organisations, whilst maintaining an emergency response capacity. You will have substantial international senior management experience of overseas relief and development programmes, demonstrating skills in financial, resource and staff management and development, strong analytical and conceptual skills, excellent team building and leadership skills, political awareness and experience of wording in an area where security is an issue. Strong communication and interpersonal skills is required with experience of senior level negotiation, liaison and representation. Fluent written and spoken French and English is essential.
